FWIW: this version passes tests if disabling the C++ ones,
#if 0'ing the printf in the long double test, and giving
dejagnu some gcc wrapper (with -fhonour-copts).

I considered updating to libffi-3.1 but it requires much
newer autofools (probably patchable-out, but no intent of
working on that, at the moment, still ill).
