I use this except in a .jupprc:

β”‚ ·Python ·extensions
β”‚
β”‚ *
β”‚ +#!\+\[β†’ ·]\+\[a-z/]/python\>
β”‚ -syntax ·python
β”‚ -highlight
β”‚ ·-smarthome
β”‚ ·-indentfirst
β”‚ -smartbacks
β”‚ -tab ·4
β”‚ -indentc ·32
β”‚ -istep ·4
β”‚ -spaces
β”‚ -purify
β”‚ --crlf
β”‚ --wordwrap
β”‚ ·-autoindent
β”‚
β”‚ *.py
β”‚ -syntax ·python
β”‚ -highlight
β”‚ ·-smarthome
β”‚ ·-indentfirst
β”‚ -smartbacks
β”‚ -tab ·4
β”‚ -indentc ·32
β”‚ -istep ·4
β”‚ -spaces
β”‚ -purify
β”‚ --crlf
β”‚ --wordwrap
β”‚ ·-autoindent

You can enable (remove the leading β€˜ ·' space) autoindent if deemed ne-
cessary, or disable syntax highlighting by commenting (with a leading
space) out the "-highlight" option.

Sometimes they [people] care too much: pretty printers [and syntax highligh-
ting, d.A.] mechanically produce pretty output that accentuates irrelevant
detail in the program, which is as sensible as putting all the prepositions
in English text in bold font.	-- Rob Pike in "Notes on Programming in C"
