This is not the correct place to ask about something that is really a
perl/dmake issue.
Maybe ask about it at
http://www.perlmonks.org/?node=Seekers%20of%20Perl%20Wisdom
and then follow (and reply to) the responses at
http://www.perlmonks.org/?node=Newest%20Nodes
I use 'dmake dist' pretty regularly and have not struck this issue, and you
probably won't get much help based on the information you've provided.
If you could provide some information about what it is that triggers the
strange behaviour, then you would stand a better chance of getting an
explanation and/or a solution. (Your own investigations into that might even
solve it for you.)
In any case, it would be best to follow this up on Perlmonks or any other
forum where this might be considered "on topic". The Perl Beginners list
might also accept this type of question.
(I actually keep a close eye on both of those places, and will happily chime
in there with some help if I think I have some help to provide. At the
moment, however, I have no idea why you would be seeing the behaviour you've
described.)
Cheers,
Rob
