Hi,

If you are interested, please read the thread from the beginning. No
antivirus software was active, it wasn't even installed. The problem
appears on some systems with a fresh installation of Windows 7 32/64
bit. It is reproducible inside VMware as well (in some hosts, not
all).

The final problem was debugged to a kernel function and I'm working
with a Windows developer to understand better the problem. Right now
I'm not sure if this is really NTFS related problem, but the very same
function works as expected on a FAT32 partition.
