I've released a new version of the build scripts for the officially
supported cross hosted implementation of MinGW. Currently designated
as release candidate #1, the package may be downloaded from:
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=2435&package_id=12644&release_id=668578
This package may be configured to deploy a cross hosted MinGW compiler
suite, based on any released versions[*] of the constituent tools; in
the default configuration, it will select the most recently released
*stable* versions of the constituent packages, i.e.:
GCC-3.4.5-20060117-2
binutils-2.19.1
mingwrt-3.15.2
w32api-3.13
[*] configuration to deploy experimental versions may require
additional effort, on the part of the user.
The majority of users will require only the shell script package:
x86-mingw32-build-1.0-sh.tar.bz2
The additional package:
x86-mingw32-build-1.0-dev.tar.bz2
provides supplementary files, used only to facilitate the production
of the shell script distribution itself. These will be of interest
primarily to users who would like to participate in the development
of this shell script package; however, most such users will find the
CVS repository to be a more convenient source for the required files.
In the absence of any critical bug reports, within the next 28 days,
this package will be promoted from release candidate status, to
become the current stable release.

Keith.
