Yes, it did.  AFAIK, he is looking into a potential problem with 
incomplete mirrors, which he wants to resolve before the latest 
"Proposed" implementation is promoted to "Current".

In the meantime, I suggest you download the latest 5.x package from the 
"Proposed" package set.
