S*** happens ;-) I didn't mean to send attachments to the list.

Then I wondered who'd make the first remark that I messed up or if I'ld get
flamed for posting an attachment.
I hope the attachment helps other people or inspire them and didn't upset
anyone ...

Good idea, I'll contact them.
Nevertheless, the point in my AC_PROG_RC was having something like
AC_LANG_SOURCE(RC) or something equivalent that tests what RC is capable of
(like escape chars in strings). The problem with the latter is that you can
call any AC_LANG_FUNC_LINK_TRY, AC_LANG_CALL, AC_LANG_PROGRAM with a
ressource file. The problem with the first is that there's not AutoMake
integration (yet !)

I've also worked on a AC_PROG_DLLTOOL (it can be found in the patches
section of SF's MinGW, search by my SF login julienlecomte)
