I think I had tried that before and it failed. I shall test it again.

I shall try Danny's description in \
<20040128040511.49042.qmail@web61003.mail.yahoo.com> of porting the Makefile trickery \
from trunk to the gcc-3.3 branch, too.



BTW. gcc-3.3.2 bootstrap ends with the following error message:

Bootstrap comparison failure!
gcse.o differs
insn-emit.o differs
ra-build.o differs

I do not consider that a problem, although it is a bit astonishing.
