Hi Upma,

Below are my comments on the UI changes for this feature. Please let me
know if you have any questions. Again, it would be great if these
changes could be made by the end of your work day on Tuesday so that I
can review them with Nesrine the next morning. Hopefully that is
possible.

Thanks,

Aliya

> On CreateLoanAccount1.htm I have made the changes where a user can
specify minimum as well as maximum days. But I am not sure we need to
show the message that by default the minimum and maximum days are 28 and
31. If its not so, do let me know, I will take off the label that is
displayed.

Do let me know your thoughts for the text that I have used "Days between
Disbursal date and Loan schedule start date".

[aw] I think I did a bad job of explaining the requirements for the
min/max date range note on the UI. Basically, Mifos will be
pre-configured to require a minimum and maximum date range to be
enforced between the disbursal date and first repayment date of a loan.
So for example for some MFIs, the first repayment of a loan has to occur
at least 28 days after the loan was disbursed. For this feature, when
the user creates a loan account, the system will check to make sure this
pre-configured minimum and maximum number of days between the disbursal
date and loan schedule start date is not violated. If it is, the system
will show the user an error indicating that this constraint has been
violated and tell the user to modify either the disbursal date or
repayment day to fit within the min/max constraint. To make it easier
for users to pick a disbursal date and repayment day that will not
violate the min/max date range configuration setting, we would like to
have some text indicating the configured values to the user near the
disbursal and repayment day fields when they are creating a loan
account. So, the field only needs to be a line of text saying "The
first repayment date must occur between 28-31 days after the disbursal
date" (or something similar to give users a hint). We do not need
editable fields to set the minimum and maximum. This will be configured
already in the system (as indicated in the "View organizational
settings" admin page). For more detail around this, you should look at
the FS if my explanation is still not clear:
http://wiki.java.net/bin/view/Javatools/RepaymentScheduleAttributes

2. Preview page: Same comment as above. We should make the text
regarding the min/max date range more user-friendly/intuitive. You can
use the same text as you choose for the create loan account page.
Whatever was entered on the CreateLoanAccount1.htm page, will be
displayed accordingly on this preview page.

[aw] Actually, on second thought, I don't think we need any of the
min/max date range text showing up on this page. It's not really
necessary or useful We can remove the changes you made there. Sorry!

3. On the loan account details page, we need a field to indicate
"repayment day" (e.g. first Thursday of the month, or Weekly on
Wednesday).

I added this field on loan_account_detail.htm page.

[aw] I accidentally commented on this in my previous email to you on
"Group Loan accounts with Individual Monitoring". To repeat what I said
in that email:

*	Though I didn't specify this to you before, can you ensure that
the format of specifying "repayment day" is the same as the way we
specify "meeting day" on the group details page? (note that it doesn't
need to be in red text though). I just think it would be good if it is
expressed in a similar format as in other parts of the site.
*	Can you ensure that it says "Repayment day" rather than
"Repayment date"?

4. Configuration screen: Same comment as above regarding the
min/max date range. We should change the text for this to make it more
user friendly. It should indicate all four cases listed above (min
configured, max configured, min and max configured, and none
configured).

On admin/ViewSettings.htm page, I have made the modifications, let me
know how did you find that.

[aw] Two small comments:

o Can you change "Disbursal" and "Loan" to have lower case
letters?

o Can you indent the rows with the minimum and maximum settings
so that it's obvious that they are related to the line above?
