Some more clarifications!
The error message "There are no installments to apply a charge." Is
showing up exactly for client who don't have record beyond that date in
the customer_schedule table in mifos. And if I add a record then I can
apply charges. Hence this is surely due to customer-schedule.
Also if somebody can help me out by giving details about the batch job
requirements and places in the code to look for it, I can get my sys
admin to go through it.
Also Jim and Emily, I am sending u the MIFOS db of one of my branches
where I am facing this issue. Please check using this db. Try adding
misc fee to any client with meeting day on 1st February.
I am sending u a link to download the db.
Need to resolve this quickly.

Hi Naganand,
So good to hear from you. I'm in the Philippines right now, so I
haven't been able to call you recently. I am regularly on skype,
though, so feel free to IM me anytime I'm on skype.
This issue *seems* like an issue with data migration-- ie, MFTech should
have created meeting schedules for the whole of 2007 since you migrated
data until Jan 2007, but I might be wrong. We'll see if Jim can take a
look at it.

Hi, all
Back again after a long time!!
As you all know, we are under the process of migration of our branches
into mifos
We have migrated 6 branches data into mifos database and are testing it
in the branches by doing the daily data entry.
We have serious issue for which we need immediate help as this would
block us from continuing the testing!!!
We collect fines in the center meeting in the field for late attendance.
This fine will have to be added as misc fees for those clients.
The process we adopt to do data entry is as follows:
1. Before the bulk entry ,
2. We go to the client page and use the Member charges section and
using apply charges page, we add fine amount as misc fines
3. This appears as the due fees in the a/c collections for the
client during the bulk entry and we submit the charges.
But currently,
1. When I try go to the apply charges section and add misc fees
and click submit, I get a error message "There are no installments to
apply a charge."
2. Later we found out that this is because there was no customer
schedule for that client on that date.
3. Currently we have migrated the data as on 31st January from our
existing MIS to mifos. The schedule is currently only till that date.
4. As per our knowledge, there is a batch job, which runs at year
end & adds future customer schedule for the next year.
5. I ran the same as on 31st December 2006. but it has not created
customer schedule for all clients.
6. Not able to understand the functionality of this batch job.
What does it check for, to update the schedule. What data has to be
present already in the database for this schedule to be generated. Till
what date must the data be present for this schedule to be created.
7. Now how do we resolve this issue. We need more understanding on
this job or how do we update schedule ourselves without the batch job.
Can somebody please clarify the same and help us resolve this issue for
urgent!
