Hi,

The current code has copyright character (c) in a number of files which
when compiling on unix gives a UTF 8 unmapped character warning. To
resolve these warnings we plan to replace this copyright character with
'(c)' in all the related files.
This would be an operation that could be done through eclipse replace
all option. There are a lot of files which currently have this copyright
character hence there could be lot of files that would have to be
checked-in after replacing this character. We plan to do this before we
start the next iteration.

Mifos application displays error messages by reading through the
properties files for localization. To help localizing these error
comments we plan to put comment above each of these messages indicating
where and when these error messages would get displayed through the
mifos application.
For example in FeeUIResouce.properties file we have
errors.mandatory_feescategory=Please select customers/products to which
Fees Applies.

This after comment would look like

# this error message is shown during creation of a fee when the user
does not select any of the value from the category drop down.
errors.mandatory_feescategory=Please select customers/products to which
Fees Applies.
Similar comments would be added to all the error strings. As this has to
be done in all the modules we plan to take up couple of modules in each
iteration and put in the relevant comments.
