If the MidgardRootfile (or DocumentRoot for example) isn't specified as a
full path (starting with a '/') it is taken as relative from the
ServerRoot. RedHat (this is what you're using IIRC) sets this to
/etc/httpd but made only a perfunctorily attempt to get the rest right.

The images you're missing are in the data package, if you copy them to
your documentroot you'll be good to go I believe.
