I suggest MySQL 4.0.x. Midgard is not stable when used with MySQL 4.1.x.

Thanks for reporting this!
I think you compiled midgard from sources.
Open calendar.c file in midgard-php4, change line 113.

 " AND author=person.id"
to
 " AND article.author=person.id"

And recompile midgard-php.
