Providing you have dependencies installed.

On MDK you need libglib1.2-devel-1.2.10-11mdk or higher installed to have glib-config \
binary. And of course libglib1.2-1.2.10-11mdk for glib devel itself.

Generally, the only package you might have to compile yourself would be expat since \
expat < 1.95 is a bit buggy and causes soe repligard issues. Moreover, I run Midgard \
on various Mandrake boxes since 8.2 release and it works like a charm :)

I know the glib package is installed, why won't midgard find it?
