Datagard is most usefull for converting non-multilang stuff to multilang
(and for creating apache VirtualHost templates), you should be able to
backup your Midgard with repligard alone, just use the correct schema
(_18n_po for multilang).

However please observe that repligard only supports files up to 2G, so
if you have large database (think image galleries...) you need to backup
using mysqldump and just tar the blobdirs.
