They both perform the same function. MMP has an option to write parsed
files out to disk to save time in subsequent requests. You can switch it
on or off. The parsed files also make for easier debugging, and since
MMP builds more on functionality in midgard-lib (non-MMP mostly does
"it's own thing") it's also easier to debug for the midgard developers.
non-MMP is currently the most stable, though.
