GUENZBURG, 2004-06-27 -- The Midgard Project has released version 1.3.1
of the Midgard Components Framework (MidCOM). MidCOM provides a
framework for creating reusable and configurable components for web
applications using the Midgard Content Management Framework.

MidCOM development was started by Linksystem Muenchen in March 2002,
and it has since evolved into a stable and production-proven platform.
Its continuing development is now too sponsred bei Nemein Oy. MidCOM is
available under GNU LGPL.

This is a bugfix release, there were no API changes, everything has
been done to prevent any compatibility issues when upgrading from 1.3.0
to 1.3.1.

Bugfixes since MidCOM 1.3.0:

* Datamanager
  o Fixed a bug with the DHTML Date widget not finding $midcom at
    times
  o Fixed widget_select: Now always displays value instead of key,
    some htmlentities calls have also been removed, fixes #52.
  o The datamanager now visually distinguishes required fields and
    missing required fields from regular ones. There are two CSS
    classes to faciliate this.
  o Fix for #58 (errors during upload of a PDF file)

* Navigation Access Point System (NAP)
  o Fixed Bug #60 (back-to-page links fail)
  o Partly fixed Bug #47 (back-to-page link unfriendly), there is no
    image yet.

* Component de.linkm.events
  o Fixed Bug #57 (NAP information corrupt)

* Component de.linkm.taviewer
  o NAV_VISIBLE set to false if no topicindex is available (which would
    result in a FORBIDDEN HTTP answer). Note, that this is only a hint,
    which must be honored by the navigational code of your site.

MidCOM requires working PHP 4.1 or later with the iconv extension and
Midgard 1.4.4 or later. In addition, Aegir 1.0.1 is recommended for
using the MidCOM Site Template package.
