Umm, then maybe that's not the platform to start on.
Download VirtualBox for mac, and install or run the live CD/DVD. Then take =
a
decent linux distro, like ...... *centos!!* or any you prefer, probably for
good to go with ubuntu for you, and then install the framework there. It'll
give you an understanding of the requirements needed for metasploit.
Once you've got that in the bag, you'll so easily understand what you need
on a mac to get it running, that it'll be a piece of cake. Should take abou=
t
an hour for the install, and half to get up and running metasploit.
Take a weekend, or a few evenings, come back in a week, and let us know how
you got on
