Found the solution myself. There was a link which i had deleted using rm command in \
this folder. Its this link that was creating the problem as mercurial was unaware of \
me deleting it. The issue is solved by using addremove instead of add.

While performing add in a subrepository, i got the following error

abort: file 'ifx_feeds_netcomp_cpe/ifx_utilities/src/ppacmd' in dirstate clashes with \
'ifx_feeds_netcomp_cpe/ifx_utilities/src/ppacmd/Makefile' reposioty structure is like

abc <parent repo>
        xyz <child repo>
                ifx_feeds_netcomp_cpe <folder>
Can anyone help??
