Meeting summary
---------------
* Agenda and Process Review (DawnFoster, 13:58:57)
* As a reminder the agenda can be found here:
http://wiki.meego.com/Community_Office/Meetings (DawnFoster,
13:59:07)
* Community Apps Update (DawnFoster, 14:00:33)
* More details about the Community Apps:
http://wiki.meego.com/MeeGo_Apps (DawnFoster, 14:00:41)
* The community OBS has gotten some needed upgrades to the backend
server infra. This caused some unexpected problems, but they got
resolved. (DawnFoster, 14:01:14)
* Most of the OCS interface bugs have been resolved. Icons and
screenshots are now exposed in the API. (DawnFoster, 14:01:30)
* OCS interface provides one click install files now and the community
client is able to use those to install apps using the PackageKit
backend. (DawnFoster, 14:01:41)
* QA forms for application QA can now be entered and listed on the
application pages. (DawnFoster, 14:01:51)
* Current high priority open issues are QA & BOSS integration, website
design. (DawnFoster, 14:02:01)
* Meego IT (DawnFoster, 14:06:45)
* More details: http://wiki.meego.com/Meego_IT (DawnFoster, 14:06:53)
* The MeeGo IT team was able to complete half of the scheduled
maintenance activities. Of the 2 main activities planned, the
migration of the MeeGo mailing lists to the OSU infrastructure was
completed. (DawnFoster, 14:07:08)
* There was an issue with the mailinglist archive generation, which
was fixed. (DawnFoster, 14:07:15)
* The planned implementation of the Bakery single sign on solution for
the main meego.com web sites has been postponed because of a few
server issues. We are actively testing this and will notify the
mailing lists when a new implementation date is scheduled.
(DawnFoster, 14:07:27)
* The MeeGo OBS had several outages last week, affecting everybody
using the OBS and every OBS linked to it. We need to find a better
way to support this service across the timezones. (DawnFoster,
14:07:41)
* Community Metrics Dashboard - Presented by Dave Neary (DawnFoster,
14:10:41)
* More details http://wiki.meego.com/Metrics/Dashboard (DawnFoster,
14:10:48)
* Summary: The architecture is all open source and publicly available,
by deasign (dneary, 14:15:16)
* Dave has been documenting how to replicate the envirnment to the
extent possible at http://wiki.meego.com/Metrics/Installing_Pentaho
(dneary, 14:15:58)
* Information on how to gather data from the various data sources is
at http://wiki.meego.com/Metrics/Gathering_data (dneary, 14:18:24)
* Report design tutorial to design new< reports is at
http://wiki.meego.com/Metrics/Creating_a_report (dneary, 14:19:19)
* We're nearly done with phase 1 of the project - all of the data is
avaiulable, I need to extract some Bugzilla stats, and standardise
on calendar month everywhere for one set of monthly reports, and
real-time updates where it makes sense (dneary, 14:20:34)
* Automated generation of reports is not yet working, but the reports
can be generated manually by anyone with an account on
metrics.meego.com (Dawn & Dave right now) with a click of a mouse
(dneary, 14:24:04)
* Dave will put static versions of the reports as they are (in all
their ugliness) in the wiki, while that's not working, although
they're still evolving a bit (dneary, 14:25:15)
* Goal 1 is to auto-generate a set of reports covering top
contributors, and the evolution of contribution over time, covering
the resources I mentioned (Bugzilla, wiki, IRC, forum, ML) (dneary,
14:28:17)
* Our high priorities once that is done are refining the "active
contributors" number by cross-referencing contributions in different
places using Drupal's SSO (dneary, 14:29:14)
* We also want to add metrics we don't have yet - translations, OBS
and apps are high priorities (dneary, 14:29:42)
* We also get code contribution stats from the commits mailing list -
including that in the automated stats is also a top priority
(dneary, 14:30:38)
* Metrics archives and more information on how & why they're used is
at http://wiki.meego.com/Metrics (dneary, 14:40:06)
* Next Community Office Meeting (DawnFoster, 14:47:01)
* The next meeting will be on August 9 at 14:00 UTC (7am Pacific).
(DawnFoster, 14:47:07)
* Agenda will be posted here:
http://wiki.meego.com/Community_Office/Meetings (DawnFoster,
14:47:14)
* Please feel free to make suggestions for topics in the Proposed
Brainstorming Topics section. (DawnFoster, 14:47:26)
* All Other Business / General Questions (DawnFoster, 14:47:32)
Meeting ended at 14:54:11 UTC.
