That editor is just a "first working prototype" as the home page says.
It is very easy to break.

1. Edit a page and type "hello world"
2. Double-click the "hello" and click the Bold button to bold it. Notice
there's a space (properly) between hello and world
3. Click Save. The space between "hello" and "world" is gone.
