Well, not really a *perl* shortcoming, but a particular way that
Apache::Session uses tie. It's possible to create a tie'd structure
such that every subelement also gets tied when set, but the overhead
is typically unneeded.
Hmm. Maybe I should do that as a column. :) >>todo :)
