CPAN says that Apache::Filter and Apache::Compress are up to date. I double-checked \
in cpan.org, so I am definitely running the latest versions.

About the little patch, it seems that it broke something. I am not really sure about \
what it was, but our httpd started to behave erractly a little while after...

I'm going to try to trace what is happening..

Apparently, this was a problem with older versions of Apache::Filter.  Do
you have the latest version installed?
