Hi,
Tyler has a few good ideas how projects can specifically advertize
FOSS4G by referencing workshops and that there will be developers, maybe
a BoF session is planned and so on. How are we going to approach this in
our project. Is there a need to formalize this so that it actually gets
done, or can we do it as a side job?

Best regards,
Arnulf.

Awesome breakdown Lorenzo, thanks for sharing that!

I will add this as a general discussion for our OSGeo marketing meeting
next week. I will suggest we get a list of the projects and local
chapters and hunt them down to get a logo onto their pages.

This got me thinking... I wonder if having a slightly modified logo
might be interesting too, one that says "Meet our developers at
FOSS4G...." - so visitors to their project sites say "Oh, yes, I want to
go just to meet them! :)" Or a "Come to the Project X workshop at
FOSS4G!" sign. You know the general idea of what I mean, just so even
new visitors to the projects know _why_ they should come. [And yes, you
developers, some only care to come see you speak! :)] But obviously
just having a logo on their pages is helping too, that's so great to see.

Do we have some advertising funding in the budget to buy more AdWords
with? Have you attempted to tie new registration #'s to the AdWords
visitors? I see registration.php is #5 in the list of page views, I'm
guessing that's a positive sign.
