I have no experience with DSL, only the slow boring drip feed standard
56kmodem
way,but I have used many different download progrsmmes, which are absolutely
essential for me since my ISP cuts me off an average of every 20
minutes. The
command line ones for this purpose don't suite me, but either getright
or nt are all I
use.

One thought though.
In both download programmes you can set the level to which the
downloader goes
back and overwrites the point where the download was cut off. It's
usually a setting
that says so many bytes overlap, this does help , or so it seems.

Another thought, so far, I have not had a single download whose mk5sum
has failed
after download, but I have had one failed disc, inwhich the installer
said one game
programme was faulty and failed to install a game properly. So perhaps
it might be interesting to see whether , if you took one of these failed
install discs and created,
a fresh new iso from on your hard drive, and then did the mk5sum test,
to see whether
it passes again .It might just prove a point, that is, are these mk5sum
test perfect tests.
