Yeah Ed;

I'd seen announcements about the 64 Bit Windows preview availability. Other 
than the obvious first strike of where it comes from it isn't a fully 
functional operating system to my mind. Anyone can say anything they like 
about the disparate development philosophies, but since the open source 
community has functional 64 bit operating systems now, and Microsoft is still 
playing around with a (very early alpha AFAICS) release that can't be termed 
useable, I'd say Microsoft is _wrong._

Is your install brought up to date from the cooker sources, or are you 
avoiding that because 9.2 is stable? The mirrors all appear to have have the 
AMD64 tree in their mandrake-devel modules. If I recall correctly AMD64, IA64 
and the other "less popular architectures" lag behind the i586 releases since 
most of the developers seem to work on both.

Not enough time in any given day maybe? Most of us seem to have that problem, 
at one time or another. Or possibly always...
