To all,
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Doing the Samba between cougar/panther and Mandrake Linux 10 for
PCC /does not require partitioning/ since Linux 10 supports HFS+ file
structure. The Samba mount point is just the main partition that the G4
is delivered with. ( I have been speaking of Samba's with ethernet
/crossover cables./)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course a dual boot configuration will still require a /second
HFS+ partition/ for Linux 10. Linux 10 has full access to both HFS+
partitions by a *simple mount *of the cougar/panther partition.

I'm not sure about this, but, in a dual boot configuration, maybe
cougar/panther has access to the Linux 10 partition with just a *simple
mount?* At the file structure level, cougar/panther cares less about a
Linux operating system residing in the /second HFS+ partition./
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope some of you will find this analysis helpful,
Tomás, Austin, Texas
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: If Linux 10 doesn't have a code name yet, why not call it
*dolphin*. Dolphins will out smart cougars and panthers on any day.
