Indeed, both have different purposes and Digikam is even useful when you
don't have a digital camera. That's why I propose to keep both gwenview
and digikam, but to not install kview and kuickshow by default anymore.

That's why I said [or meant to say]: IF a [seperate] irc client has to be installed...
[Personally I think the IRC client in Kopete is not good:
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115799
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115796
But that's another discussion]
IRC is not used by a lot of non-geek people, so Kopete should be largely
enough in the default installation. Still moving konversation to main
would be a good idea IMO as it is much better than ksirc.

Actually Scribus and oodraw are too already installed by default, that's
why I thought having a seperate program seemed superfluous.

I admit not having tested it for cd covers, but with the available
templates, I guess it would work fine. Still, as it seems several people
find kover useful and my proposal is based on assumptions which I did
not test, I agree it is probably best to keep it for now.
Thank you for participating in this discussion!
