Mandriva 2007, video card 3Dfx Voodoo Banshee (yes very old, but except this
bug, working 
fine ;-), x11-driver-video-tdfx-1.2.1-2mdv2007.0, mesa-6.5-17mdv2007.0.

DRI is enabled in Xorg (see Xorg.0.log to be attached).

Every 3D application freeze (be it with a normal user or root).
This is very annoying for critical applications I use all day long (such as
games ;-)

For example, glxinfo says:

then the process freezes (see strace to be attached).

All the glxdemos freeze the same way, like glxdemo, glxgears... Same thing for
gltron, the 
unforgettable kiki, s.o.
