Thanks for the tip Nicolas. Pointing to /dev/ttyUSB1 after a modprobe visor
does the trick for me too (/dev/pilot points to /dev/ttyUSB0 and doesn't work,
although /dev/pilot did work in 2006.0).

Regardless that there is a workaround, it is fairly obscure for users. There
still needs to be a real fix so that Palm devices work without poking around as
root.
