I had a few GDB crashes using kdevelop;

on my cooker I have
[tom1@tom_lap testlog]$ gdb -v
GNU gdb 6.3-8mdv2007.0 (Mandriva Linux release 2007.0)

discussing these troubles in the kdevelop mail list,
they pointed out that

"gdb 6.4 is almost a year old, gdb 6.3 is two years
old and gdb 6.5 is already 4 months old, although the gdb folks have yet to
update their home page with the announcement"

The GDB's homepage seems to confirm that:

December 2, 2005: GDB 6.4 Released!

So... when a new gdb on cooker? :)
