Hi Danny,
Your questions and some remarks I got from a discussion about an ethernet
configuration problem I had after install made me think about bad configuration
files leaved from a previous install on /home directory.
Thus I performed another install, this time formating /home partition and now
the audio CD can be read with KsCD and also data CD.
The lesson is that when performing an install /home directory should be empty !
Clearing it solved all my problems with KsCD and the Internet access via
ethernet device.

kscd cant play any audio cd. Because it search (it is configure by defaults
like this) with : system:/media/hdc (or hdX off course)
but the good way is :
media:/hdc
(or hdX..)
