LE2005-RC2: still true...  
The template files  sti ,stc, stw, std are not linked to OOo and their icons 
are blank. 
  
In the directory /usr/share/applnk/OpenOffice.org/ the icons are not defined  
  
Data files sxc, sxi, sxw, ... had blank icons. However the icons does exist for  
these files and are not used.  
 
I have found this: 
# grep Icon *  
calc.desktop:Icon=ooo_calc.png  
calc.desktop:Icon=.png  
draw.desktop:Icon=.png  
impress.desktop:Icon=.png  
math.desktop:Icon=.png  
writer.desktop:Icon=.png  
 
IMHO, this bug could be easily resolved...
