      Distribution: Cooker
           Summary: Display's DPI settings overridden
           Product: drakxtools
           Version: 10.2-0.29mdk
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: XFdrake
        AssignedTo: install@mandrakesoft.com
        ReportedBy: robin.rosenberg@dewire.com

Option IgnoreEDID is set by XFrake for the "nvidia" driver. The result is
almost unreadable tiny fonts. At least in the Inspiron 8500 nvidia reports the
correct display size and thus the DPI is correct too without that option.

Related: in /etc/X11/Xresources there is another DPI override that (ironically)
also results in really tiny fonts.

! Fix the Xft dpi to 96; this prevents tiny fonts
! or HUGE fonts depending on the screen size.
Xft.dpi: 90

Commenting it out resolves the problem if X report the correct DPI, (which it
does on all my machines).

Suggestion: Add a menu for selecting DPI as "auto,75,96,120,150 dpi", when auto
is the same as use whatever X reports.
