Summary: Chinese fonts are selectable but do not render
Product: OpenOffice.org
Version: 1.1.3-1mdk
Platform: PC
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P3
Component: i18n
AssignedTo: ghibo@mandrakesoft.com
ReportedBy: garym@teledyn.com
After upgrading from Mandrake 9 to Community 10.1, OOo no longer displays any of
the Chinese language fonts -- the xcin window appears over the app and a
character can be entered (after selecting the appropriate Kai Ming font; all the
Chinese fonts appear in the OOo select list) but when the xcin input is actually
entered, the character appears only as a box in the OOo document window and the
OOo font-selection reverts back to the default font.
This worked fine in Mandrake 9.x, but has not worked since the upgrade.
Under Options/Internationalization we have selected Asian language support as
Traditional.
The following fonts are installed (from rpm -qa):
