kernel : 2.6.8.1-12mdk 
 
more : a simple ifconfig to give the card a ip reboot the machine, instantanly

When you have a broadcom net Xtreme (gigabit), the network doesnt work. But it
was working in older version of the cooker. And when you do lsmod you can see
that the  module for the card (bcm5700) is loaded but you cant access to the
network.
