description:
Clean install of MAndrake 10.0 community from CDROM.

I Chose bootloader = lilo graphical on /dev/fd0

-> I had not been prompted to insert a floppy disk
-> the floppy drive light came on; no disk was present, a few
seconds later the light went off and the installer GUI 'hung' -
the blue left-hand margin still had the list of operations but
the main grey window was plain grey (no text) and nothing I
tried on the keyboard would take me back.
ALT-F1 showed the console, the last message was:
*** unhandled exception in callback
*** lilo failed: Fatal: open /dev/fd0 no such device or address
*** ignoring at /usr/bin/perl-install/ugtk2.pm line 957

the installer *Should* have prompted for a floppy and retried or
failed gracefully if none was present.

work around: reboot, restart install, insert floppy. System works out
that all packages are installed and goes straight to the bootloader section
and writes the floppy (neat).

(other than that, a very clean install)
