A few days ago I was thinking exactly the same and planning to write a 
bugzilla entry for that.

In practise most users will only use one application in each of these 
categories, so it makes sense to combine them. Even for power users, who use 
more than one app in each catgegory, there will never be more than 5 entries 
in it.
