Subject: [Cooker] Can't use Backspace key in python script

Hi all,
I'm not sure if this one relates to bug #3683 but I can't use BackSpace key to
delete things in a python+ncurses script when running it in xterm, aterm, or
rxvt. If I run it in console mode, it works fine.
When running this script and hitting BackSpace in xterm, it returns ^? instead
of deleting the word.
Any tips? TIA.
