This is a problem of tagging by installer, stable version should be tagged as
updates. This has been fixed in DrakX.

description:
When running urpmi --update --auto-select --auto on a machine with 9.1 RC
installed, I get the following message:
Installation failed:
libfontconfig1 >= 2.1-9mdk is needed by kdebase-3.1-83.1mdk
libfontconfig1 is of course available in 9.1, which is also defined as a source
(but not as update source), and should IMO be automatically installed.
