In Install I answered the dialog with yes if I had an ISA card, and was 
askwed to run sndconfig after boot.

But when l logged into KDE with startx I had sound and the streaming radio 
from RealPlayer8 within Mozilla runs fine.

In /etc/devfsd.conf I have:
# ALSA stuff
#LOOKUP                 snd             MODLOAD ACTION snd

Does this mean that I am running oss or does it mean that you have a special 
Mdk implimentation of devfs?
