I have recently set up Majordomo on a machine for the first
time, and I'm having problems getting a list working. I can
successfully send commands, and I can also subscribe users
to the list without a problem, but mail to the list fails
with an aliasing/forwarding loop broken error.

Some background:-

Running Majordomo 1.94.3 on RedHat Linux 4.1
MTA is sendmail 8.8.5
Perl version 5.003

Worthy of note - sendmail prog mailer is smrsh, *not* /bin/sh.
I have placed a symlink to the wrapper program in /etc/smrsh,
so I don't believe this to be the cause of the problem.

When I send mail to the list (i.e. of the form listname@domain.com),
I get:-

Plus a couple of attached error logs....

The relevant section of my /etc/aliases file is:-

cbench: "|/etc/smrsh/wrapper resend -l cbench cbench-list"
cbench-list:    :include:/usr/local/majordomo/lists/cbench
owner-cbench:   root,
cbench-owner:   root
cbench-request: "|/etc/smrsh/wrapper majordomo -l cbench
cbench-approval:        root

The relevant filsystem permissions are:-

[root@castor majordomo]# ls -ld /usr/local/majordomo/
drwxr-xr-x   5 majordom daemon       1024 Nov 28 16:30 /usr/local/majordomo/
[root@castor majordomo]# ls -ld /usr/local/majordomo/lists/
drwxrwx---   2 majordom daemon       1024 Nov 28 16:35 
/usr/local/majordomo/lists/
[root@castor majordomo]# ls -l /usr/local/majordomo/lists/
total 19
-rw-rw-r--   1 majordom daemon         39 Nov 28 16:30 cbench
-rw-rw----   1 majordom daemon      15542 Nov 28 16:23 cbench.config
-rw-rw-r--   1 majordom daemon         51 Nov 28 12:14 cbench.info

So, I now dont know what is preventing it from working. Any help would
be much appreciated.
