Hi all!
	Thanks to all kind souls that helped gettting Majordomo 1.93
up and running on my system. This is what I did (based on your input)

1) Set the shell field to /bin/false in /etc/passwd

2) The wrapper binary (which was created by make wrapper) was changed
    to user root and group majordom, and then setuid (chmod u+s wrapper)

Now,

1) lists, index etc do work
2) The log is finally created AND written
3) The results really bring back results!
4) Less disk cracking (now processes in approx 25-34 sec, before it
   took about a minute)
5) No more EX_1 return on the pipe

		Thanks, my faith has been restored :)
