Thanks for the example set. I have implemented bulk_mailer into all our
lists but found out the problem was not actually with resend. Someone was
trying to send a 15MB to a list of about 3000 people. When I looked at top
all I saw was resend, so I obviously tough that the list was to much for the
computer to handle. After I calmed down and looked at the mailq I saw the
offending message and promptly deleted it.
Thanks again for the examples.

If you are certain it is resend causing high cpu, I doubt that bulk_mailer
will solve your problems. Bulk_mailer does not come into play until after
resend has done it's work. Regardless, here is a sample set of aliases to
use with bulk_mailer;
#####################################################################
#
# Use of bulk_mailer with sendmail:
# To have bulk_mailer distribute mail to a list, add the following lines
#
# owner-{FOO}: whoever-maintains-foo
# {FOO}-outgoing: "|{BULK_MAILER} owner-{FOO}@{YOUR.DOMAIN} {ADDRESS_LIST}"
#
# where {FOO} is the name of the list, {YOUR.DOMAIN} is your
# fully-qualified domain, {BULK_MAILER} is a full path name of the
# bulk_mailer program, and {ADDRESS_LIST} is a full path name of the
# file containing the list of addresses.
#
# test-outgoing: "|/usr/sbin/bulk_mailer owner-test@DOMAIN.TLD
/var/lib/majordomo/lists/test"
#
###########################################################################
If you used the redhat rpm to install majordomo, bulk_mailer is installed
with it, but you will still need to create the link in /etc/smrsh.
