Hi Everyone
I have encountered an issue I can't find a solution for in any manual or
forum and especially in LyX's Embedded Objects manual.
The issue is in Lyx, when I use sidecap for a figure float I can not change
the caption label to 'image' or leave blank, instead 'figure' remains
even with use of the \renewcommand{\fnum@figure}{Image~\thefigure} .
*A standard figure float with above renewcommand is successfully executable
whether i select to leave the caption as blank or with 'image' . However,
as stated above, something happens that stops the default 'Figure' caption
changing to when using sidecap. Does anyone know a work-around?*
Attached are some screenshots showing the preamble and inline commands
With main body of text and the output
any assistance very much appreciated
Best Regards
Shane
My version of Lyx is 2.1.4 on a MacOSX 10.6.8 iBook 2012 model.
Shane
