would it be possible to put also an installer-less zip archive (for
Windows) for LyX 2.0alpha on ftp.lyx.org?

I have no clue what those "installers" are meant to be good for - Oh,
wait, maybe they are meant to prevent users from being able to use the
software they need to get their work done... Some conspiracy by "system
administrictators" with the software industry.
