png is no problem, but pdflatex do not like eps images ...

- use tex2pdf instead of pdflatex, it manages all the converting
   process. Available from http://tex2pdf.berlios.de
- use vlatex instead of pdflatex, available at
   http://www.micropress-inc.com/linux
   it is free for Linux/OS2
- put a converter epstopdf into the preferences
