AFAIK, LyX does not support Unicode. In order to past the text from anywhere
via clipboard, you need to convert it to iso-latin encoding first. Maybe the
"recode" command can help you (try man recode or the info pages). Maybe you
could also open the unicoded file in a text editor that internally
translates it to "normal" code and then drag and drop...
