I guess it's time I reply to this one (sorry for the delay but I'm really
busy at the moment).

As Jean-Marc already told this is irrelevant for now (we can remove this
at any time), so I would like for now to leave the redundant stuff in!

Well this hardly matters and I inserted this tag because I would like to
add more Features to the tabular code and so this will extend in it's usage,
but if XML experts tell me that it SHOULD go inside the <lyxtabular ...>
part I'll move it there.

Yes IMO this is a really good thing to do and the only one we should implement
before 1.1.6 final (as otherwise we will have a quite big format change 
afterwards). This obviously implies that tabulars already created with the
other format will not be read again, do other accept this?

Thanks for the patch but as stated in (1) I would like for the moment
to leave the redundant informations in!
