The problems of this are:

1. My local servers don't support external cache.  And obviously, those
aren't my servers. 

2. Even if the servers use external cache, it may not work integrally with
(insert browser here).  Moreover, there are already several browsers
(Lynx, Netscape (3 & 4), Mosaic) in my local environment.

3. Doesn't quite open up the possibility of HTML postprocessing, which
requires constant switching between HTML source and rendered HTML. 
Besides, I don't want my HTML source get thrown away in the middle of
postprocessing just because someone else had filled up the shared cache,
especially for debugging purposes. 

To conclude this, it may be better off to make caching HTML source feature
optional.
